Miracle on Main Street provides holiday magic to local children and is a tradition that our League cherishes. For over 30 years, the Junior League of Gainesville has put on this signature event for families in the greater Alachua County area who might not otherwise have gifts and other necessities for their children over the holidays.

Throughout the year, our League collects new toys, bikes, games, puzzles, dolls, books, clothes, diapers, and other supplies. In partnership with local agencies, we distribute the gifts and items to local families in early December during this interactive event.

How can you help?

• Volunteer to help make the event a success. The Junior League of Gainesville invites members of the community to help volunteer to make the event a success. Email moms@gainesvillejrleague.org for more information.
• Become a sponsor. Sponsorship of the Miracle on Main Street provides funds for our League to purchase toys, bikes, and other necessary goods and services for our event. At a variety of levels, a local company can become a corporate sponsor; email us to learn more. Individuals can also choose to sponsor a family, child, or big-ticket item.
• Host a toy, clothing, or diaper drive at your office or next event. You can collect items at your workplace, school, place of worship, or other community event. Contact us to pick up the items you collect or arrange a drop off.
• Shop for a specific family. Contact us if you are interested in shopping for the needs of a particular family, we can gladly provide you with one or more family’s wish lists.

The 2024 Miracle on Main Street was a huge success! A few notable facts:

• 1,700+ toys and bikes were given to 486 children
• 183 families received toys, bikes, diapers, wipes, books, clothing, fresh pizza, and a meet and greet with Santa and Mrs. Claus
• Pantry bags and kitchen essentials were distributed to each family as part of our Action Against Hunger initiative
