2025 Amazing Give Raises $1.2 Million for Local Nonprofits
12-hour online fundraiser supported 118 nonprofits across the region
Gainesville, FL, April 25, 2025 — The Junior League of Gainesville is excited to share The Amazing Give raised $1.2 million for community nonprofits.
On April 24, this 12-hour online fundraising event dedicated to supporting local nonprofits in the North Central Florida area raised $1,128,942 for 118 organizations.
The Amazing Give provides a unique opportunity for donors to make a difference in their community by contributing to a wide range of charitable causes—from animal welfare to literacy programs and early childhood education to food insecurity.
In its tenth year, The Amazing Give raised funds for local nonprofits through a single online donation platform, simplifying the giving process and connecting donors with causes they care about most. Hosted by the Junior League of Gainesville, this fundraising effort underscores the community’s continued investment to improve the lives of the people, animals, and environment of North Central Florida.
“The Amazing Give is proof that when a community comes together with purpose, real change happens,” said Demetrica Tyson, president of the Junior League of Gainesville. “What we’ve achieved year over year—raising more than $1 million locally—is incredible. Every dollar raised helps weave a tighter, more compassionate safety net for those who need it most.”
Participating nonprofits showcase their missions and raise vital funds to support their programs and services. Through the support of donors and sponsors, The Amazing Give offers nonprofits the visibility and resources needed to advance their causes and make a difference in the lives of individuals, families, and animals throughout the region.
All organizations are verified 501(c)(3) charitable nonprofits headquartered or providing services in the North Central Florida area. Additionally, nonprofits must comply with state-mandated fundraising laws and allocate 100% of funds generated by The Amazing Give for non-religious programs, services, and activities.
